Since 1998, Ford Trucks scholarships have connected local Ford Dealers to FFA members in their communities. Ford believes in offering extended education opportunities with the Ford Built Tough Scholarship. To be eligible, you must be a high school senior, plan to attend a vocational, 2-year, or 4-year college in Fall 2022, and be a FFA member. The Logan County Sheriff's Office presents the first annual Deputy Scott Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Deputy Scott Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund will be awarding a scholarship to one senior from each high school throughout Logan County that is wishing to pursue higher education during the 2022-2023 academic year. The student must be enrolled at a college, university, or trade school for the upcoming school year. Download the application to the right. The Lincoln Women's Club awards one scholarship valued at $500 or more will be awarded to a female graduating high school senior from either Hartsburg-Emden, Lincoln, or Mt. Pulaski High School. Students must show financial need, submit school transcripts and ACT/SAT scores, and 2 letters of recommendation. The Township Officials of Illinois will award several $2,000 scholarships to graduating Illinois high school seniors. Applicants must plan to attend a university/college in Illinois. Students must interview an elected township official and write an essay on the topic of township government. See Mrs. Feltes for a list of elected township officials. The Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln (CFLL) administers a variety of college scholarships. Each scholarship was established by generous donors and is unique, with its own set of criteria for applicants. Students may apply for and be awarded multiple scholarships. There are scholarships available for graduating seniors as well as current and returning college students. Currently, the majority of awards are offered to students from Sangamon County but the number of scholarships for students throughout the CFLL service area continues to grow. CFLL serves the counties of Sangamon, Cass, Christian, Logan, Macoupin, Menard, Montgomery and Morgan. The Illinois Scottish Rite Scholarship Fund awards new scholarships each year: One to students pursuing a career in healthcare (nursing, medicine, technicians, therapists, etc.) and another to an undergraduate in any field. Other scholarships are available to students who is a relative of a Scottish Rite Mason. The scholarships are renewable for a total of 4 years. Each applicant must be a resident of Illinois and display and maintain a certain level of academic achievement. Students pursuing a career in Special Education may be eligible for the Illinois Special Education Teacher Tuition Waiver Program. This program will exempt students from tuition and mandatory fees at an eligible institution in Illinois for up to 4 years. The DCFS Scholarship Program provides 53 scholarships each year; four of which are awarded to children of veterans. Applicants may attend any college or university, however, applicants who attend a public Illinois university will be provided with additional funds. Scholarship recipients will receive a waiver of tuition and mandatory fees if they attend their local Illinois community college or any of the following Illinois state universities: Chicago State, Eastern Illinois, Governor's State, Western Illinois, Illinois State, Northeastern Illinois, Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois, and University of Illinois. All scholarship recipients will receive a monthly grant of $1,237 regardless of whether they attend an Illinois community college or university. The Jace D Walters Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to honor Jace's memory. Heartland Community College is proud to announce the College NOW Alumni Award for the start of the Fall 2021 semester. The yearly "award amount" shall be equivalent to the cost of tuition for the upcoming school year (fall and spring) for a full academic load at U of I. Hopedale Medical Foundation is accepting applications from high school seniors and college freshman for its Spring 2018 scholarship awards. Applicants will be required to be enrolled in a 2- or 4-year accredited nursing school located within 50 miles of HMC. Scholarship can be used for payment (or repayments) for tuition, room, board, books and supplies. A $15,000 Nursing Scholarship may be awarded each year for a maximum of 4 years ($60,000 total). Recipients of a $15,000 scholarship must commit to work as a full-time RN at the Hopedale Medical Complex (hospital or nursing home) for a minimum of 3 years after licensure. If applicant receives more than one $15,000 scholarship, the period will be extended to 5 years following licensure. Athletic Scholarships
The U.S. Army – Pro Football Hall of Fame Award for Excellence Program seeks to highlight the Nation’s top sophomore, junior and senior high school athletes who share key attributes of U.S. Army Soldiers; and who not only excel athletically, but who also excel academically and are active in their communities. The judging panel, comprised of Pro Football Hall of Fame executives and Professional Football Hall of Fame athletes, will review all submissions and nominate 25 student finalists. From among those, one winner will be chosen to receive the Award for Excellence and a grant in the amount of $2,500. Each of the 25 nominated finalists will be provided with travel arrangements (provided by the PFHOF) to the 2017 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend in Canton, Ohio, to participate in weekend activities August 4-6, 2017. The purpose of the Roland Machinery Scholarship is to offer financial assistance to a student pursuing a profession in the mechanical or technical trades (heavy machinery, welding, diesel engine mechanics etc.). Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and will attend full-time (Fall 2020) to an accredited technical institution or public/private school for a degree or certificate in a mechanical or technical trade such as heavy machinery mechanic, welder, diesel engine mechanic or other related trade. The 2019 World War II Illinios Descendants Scholarship was established by the World War II Illinois Veterans Committee with remaining funds from the World War II Illinois Veterans Memorial located in Springfield, Illinois. The veterans’ desire is for a statewide scholarship to honor and keep alive the memory of veterans from Illinois who served in World War II. Eligible students must graduate from an Illinois high school and be a direct descendant of a World War II Illinois veteran. Students must also have a 4.0 GPA. Beta Sigma Psi offers 2 different scholarships for male, high school students. Applicants must be confirmed members if a Lutheran congregation and will be starting college in the Fall 2020 semester. The COV Award is a four-year tuition waiver at the University of Illinois awarded to natural or legally adopted children of service members. The following are eligible conflicts for this award: World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam Conflict, the Siege of Beirut, the Grenada Conflict, the Southwest Asia Conflict, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. The recipient may use his/her Children of Veterans Tuition Waiver at any of the University of Illinois campuses (Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, Health Sciences Center, or Springfield). The 57th Annual United States Senate Youth Program invites juniors and seniors to apply. The first phase of this program brings two students from each state to Washington, D.C., March 2-9, 2019, to participate in the United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP). Delegates will be immersed in Washington activities throughout their week-long stay. The second phase awards both recipients a college scholarship of $10,000.00. Junior Achievement is proud to announce the 2019 Dollars Make Sense Scholarship sponsored by Commerce Bank in recognition of Financial Literacy Month. The PAF Student Scholarship is designed for a high school athlete who intends to attend a university, college, or two-year institution that does not provide athletic scholarships. The Scholarship rewards high school athletes for their non-athletic achievements and assists them in achieving their career goals. The Professional Athletes Foundation Student Scholarship Program is administered by the St. Louis Former Players Chapter of the National Football League Players Association. The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) invites all high school students (9th through 12th grades) interested in the American Revolution to participate in the George S. & Stella M.
