When: October 22, 2021; 10:15 am - 2:00 pm Where: Illinois State University What:A conference for high school students who are considering a career in education. This conference informs and inspires students about the process of becoming a teacher, and what to expect after graduation as they enter the classroom. Since its inaugural year in 2019, this conference has served nearly 550 students from more than 30 different districts. IACAC Virtual College Exploration When: September 15 - October 22 (Students can view the recordings after the event is over) Where: Online What: IACAC is proud to present our Virtual College Exploration Program, for all Illinois students. The six-week program consists of hundreds of opportunities for students to learn about the college search process and about many different colleges through panel presentations and information sessions. Students will gain a wealth of college knowledge, get exposure to a variety of colleges, and have the opportunity to ask questions of admission counselors, all in a safe, flexible, online environment. All high school students, parents, and counselors throughout Illinois are all welcome to attend. Participation is free. Students should participate live so they can ask questions and interact with the college admission counselors. If students are unable to attend live, we still encourage them to register for the sessions they are interested in and recordings will be available below later. Campus Visits
Juniors are allowed up to 2 excused absences and Seniors are allowed up to 3 excused absences for college campus visits. All college visits must be verified and approved in advance by Mrs. Feltes. You must complete a Pre-Arrangement Form (located in the front office and Mrs. Feltes' office) with a parent/guardian signature, indicating the college and date of anticipated visit, as well as signatures from all of the student's teachers. Students are responsible for making up any work missed during a college visit.
