ABOUT ME: |
Hello, my name is Amanda Feltes and I am continuing my journey as a school counselor helping all students with issues that may be affecting their academics, career, and personal/social interactions. I am very happy to be a part of the Hartem team this school year. During the 2013-2014 school year, I completed my internship within the Chatham school district. At Chatham, I was able to work with students through individual, group, and classroom lessons. After graduation, I spent 2 years as a therapist and after-school site director at Family Service Center in Springfield. I started working for the Hartsburg-Emden school district in 2015-2016 as the School Counselor, where I am able to help students with:
* Promoting positive attitudes among students towards self, family, peers and community. * Assisting students in learning how school performance relates to future opportunities. |
HOW STUDENTS CAN SEE THE COUNSELOR:
Middle school and High school students are welcome to drop in to the counselor's office throughout the day. Self-referral forms are also posted outside my office door, if I am unavailable at the time a student comes to see me.
Elementary classrooms were given self-referral forms. Students may also meet with the counselor if their parents, teacher or administrative staff refer them to see a counselor.
